Bioenergy is a main topic at the RENEXPO(R) 2009
Germany - The protection of our environment and the worldwide climate is making bold climate protection goals necessary. At the European level, agreements have been reached to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and primary energy consumption each by 20 percent and increase the portion of renewable energies in the energy supply to 20 percent. In addition, the German government is looking to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 40 percent of 1990 levels by 2020.
The goals are only possible through a shift towards a sustainable energy economy. This is where bioenergy plays an important part. With the aim of utilizing the potential of bioenergy, there are great challenges to be met by research and new technology. According to the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the use of plant based biomass (bioenergy) with about 70 percent of all renewable energies already makes the largest contribution to power, heat and fuel. With the increasing worldwide demand for bioenergy, the demand for new technologies will increase. The trade-fair RENEXPO(R), taking place from September 24th-27th, will present a central platform for the exchange of information.
The German Biogas Association (Biogas e.V.) will be represented with its own exhibition stand. In the same area, the biogas companies represented will be brought together for a collaborative industry presentation in exhibition hall 1. Exhibitors from the areas of biogas plants, suppliers, cogeneration plants and services in the area of biogas are expected to attend. As usual, manufacturers of all types and sizes of biomass boilers and ovens are strongly represented. For the first time this year, there will be a special exhibit on fireplace ovens, pellet ovens and tiled stoves.
As part of the trade-fair, different conferences will be taking place in accordance with the trade-fair themes. These include the international BBE Conference for Wood Energy, which the Bundesverband BioEnergie e.V. (BBE) is presenting for the 9th time. The conference will inform visitors with the usual expected competence with renown speakers from the areas of politics, the economy and trade associations on the current developments in the industry and has established itself as the leading industry meeting point in Germany.
In addition, interested visitors also have the possibility of informing themselves of the current state of the industry in the free presentation program.
The RENEXPO(R) 2009, International Trade Fair for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficient Building and Renovation is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year.
